I was one of the first and it's posted in the faq's. pictures are lost but the text tells the story. I have painted 50+ and using my method you will have no problem.

Here is what i used and a picture.
1.Take off the liner from the hood
2. Spray paint the logo with flat black(2 coats)
3. I painted the silver first, then the gold, then the red and lastly the black. When you paint the darker red, you have to mix black with the red. Be careful to only put a drop of black in the red, because it gets dark very easily. You might have to add red to get it lighter.
Materials: From Wal-Mart craft center
FolkArt Paint:
#662 Metallic Silver Sterling
#660 Metallic Pure Gold
#436 Engine Red
#938 Licorice
A set of small brushes
I had to apply 3-4 coats because it soaked in. You can put on as many as you want. The heat has not effected the paint at all.
