Why no snazzy name for BLACK?
Every other color has a snazzy name. Monterey, Lemans, Machine, Velocity, Victory, Atomic, Arctic. Whatever happened to Tuxedo Black?

Jet black, Pitch black, Ink black, Coal black, and Equestrian boot black, Kiwi black, would make for nice color options.

Poor old black got left behind. I did like tuxedo..... but midnight, onyx, jet, anything.....GM just needs to sharpen up the name a little.

White is also not a color.... white is the combination of all the colors of the visible light spectrum.
So why does the non-color white get a fancy descriptive name and the non-color black doesn't? It doesn't seem equitable.

Maybe it is the MAN keeping black down?
Of course you could go with obsidian black like on the benzos if it were metallic... THAT WOULD BE SWEET - DO IT GM DO IT!!!
Then you could call it move your car over to the right lane black.

Obsidian Black is a winner in my book.

There's kind of a simple answer for this. The reason for just black is because GM hasn't changed the color since the 60's. If you go to get a tube of GM touch up paint for black, it says Black, All Years.
So as not to confuse anything, they just name it Black.
