Yes, there's a TSB out for it. I'll find it for you and post a link here.
Here's the thread with the info...

It may be this as well...if it's the painted top. There's a recall out on the painted top (separation) and the TSB I pointed you to on the clear top.
If your car has the new style SMC top it is not subject to the recall. You can tell by looking underneath the headliner. If it's black it's the old style subject to the recall. If it's white it's the new SMC top. If you have the old one you should have received a recall letter.

The link that you were given above for the TSB is specific to the transparent top. Painted tops could present a different issue. First it is important to realize that the very nature of a removable roof panel lends itself to making noise as surfaces twist and shift while driving (especially over uneven terrain and extremes in temperature.) With that said, the painted roof has the potential for the painted panel to separate from the magnesium frame. The C6 represented a change in materials and technologies from the proven ones of the C5 in some areas. VIN #'s from 2005 and 2006 production cars have a chance of the painted panel delaminating. All 2005 and 2006 cars have a panel made from polycarbonate. The polycarbonate panel was swapped in to save some weight over the SMC panel in use on the C5. Differences in expansion and issues with surface preparation led to some panels coming delaminated. There is a recall out. At a minimum you should have your VIN run by your dealer to see if it is part of the affected VIN range. They should also inspect it to ensure that there is no sign of delamination starting. The early symptoms included a creaking and popping sound. Cars manufactured in June and July of 2006 used a new "triple bonding" process in the plant and it is believed to have fixed the issue with the panels. Starting in August of 2006, GM returned to the SMC material which was used on the C5 painted roof panels. The SMC material should take care of the delamination issue permanently.

My transparent top began to creak almost constantly after two years. As stated, there is a TSB on this and it works (so far). It is an easy fix, and you can do it yourself if the dealer is willing to just hand the parts to you. It only took about 10 or 15 minutes, and I'm no mechanic.

There was one of our members who had the same problem and added some felt tape to the top of the latch area that made the noise go away.
