Default Millennium Yellow vs Velocity Yellow

After looking at production numbers, I see that the Velocity yellow was very scarce in 2005. Im going to get a 2005 and after I figure out this battle between black and yellow; and if I choose yellow, I will probably have to get a millennium Yellow. I see this color was a $750 option. Is this one of those paints with a silver basecoat with a transparent yellow? There are no 2005 yellows anywhere near buffalo for sale so I cant check for myself. I wonder if Millennium will be worth more since it was a limited production color.

Most Important question: If you had the choice between the 2, what would you pick?

I've got an 05 Millenium Yellow coupe. I love the color. I was at a Corvette show a few weeks back and saw a VY next to a MY and they both looked great! The VY was a brighter yellow. The MY was almost the same color as the yellow strip on a highway.

I don't see a big difference between the colors unless they are parked next to each other.

You guys are right, VY is a brighter yellow. Either one looks great. They only made MY for about 6 months on '05 I think.

MY seems to have a gold tone and VY looks slighlty green when next to a MY.

Both are great colors.

Hers a pic I took last week.
My Vel Yel C6 and a friends Mill Yel C5 Z06 side by side.

In the sun, I see a little green tint in the VY
The Mil Yel has a little more red tint

Was at a show several months ago where my Mill Yellow C6 sat in the middle of 4 Vel Yellow C6s. The color difference was obvious there and most folks commented that the green of the VY really stood out and looked more lime like when next to a MY.

vy on left in both photos.

IMHO Millenium was more unique while Velocity is a more common shade of Yellow.
