Does it automatically come with 3.42 gears or did I mess up when I ordered my car? I thought it was included in the z51 package, but now I can't remember if I ever verified that, as all the cars that I looked at with z51 had the 3.42 gears. Thanks in advance.

It will have the 3.42 rear end ratio if it's a manual tranny. It will have the 2.56 rear end if it's an automatic.

If its a 6spd manual, you get 3.42.

But don't think that the 3.42 is "better" than the 2.56. The tranny differences actually makes the performance pretty close MN6 vs A6.

If you ordered a manual, then yes it does. And the transmission gearing in the manual 6 speed coupled with the 3.42s makes the car run like a base manual car with 3.90 gears in it.

Don't worry, you will be "taking titles" in your new Z51 as usual.
