Any one of the Hotels is good. It all depends on what you want. The Raddison and Quality inns are both a 10 minute walk from the Lexington. The Omni is on the other side of the bridge, but it has a georgous view of everything. The omni also has shuttle buses that may be able to take you to the Lex and back. Ask them if you choose that hotel. Anyway we have done our homework on these three and they all are great hotels. Be safe on your trip down here and thanks for your support.

During this Event we will be collecting items which will be used to make "Care Packages" to be sent to our troops serving overseas on the front lines in both IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN.. Just curious, how will you get them on the deck? From the Carriers I have seen, that is quite a ways up there.

Default Vettes and Jets on the Lex update 8-22

A list is available on the Website of the names as they will appear on your entry certificate at http://www.vettesandjetsonthelex.com/cert_names.htm The link is also available on the website main page. PLEASE verify your name and e-mail any changes required prior to Monday 27 August 2007 send e-mail to mhunt@stx.rr.com

We have made arrangements to have a local business provide Washing Services for your Vehicle on both Friday Evening and Saturday Morning. Cost will be $15.00 per vehicle at a site on the North Beach Area. Also a map to the closest auto wash will be available at your Hotel Desk.

Clubs are urged to make plans to meet at a staging area near the event Saturday Morning, prior to joining the check-in line. A reminder that the vehicle and a driver MUST be present from 5:00 am until the vehicle is loaded and positioned on the flight deck ! Please be aware that once the loading process begins it will continue uninterrupted until all cars are on the Flight Deck. If you decide to try to be "LAST ON" so you can be first off you will most likely never get to the Flight Deck. Once we have began the load process it will continue until the last car in line is onboard and will then CLOSE ! Not checked in and no driver available at 5 am means you will NOT load.
(SEE MAP BELOW)

Drivers exiting the elevator and positioning their car on the flight deck MUST remain in the vehicle until all the cars from their lift on the elevator are positioned on the flight deck ! SAFETY requires you DO NOT open your doors or attempt to exit the vehicle until directed. Let's please be sure we have no injuries or damage to vehicles on the FLIGHT DECK !

A pre-event meet and greet will be held at the Radisson North Beach Hotel from 7 to 10 pm Friday Night, so if you are arriving Friday this will be a great opportunity to meet Corvette Forum Members, and / or other Corvette Enthusiasts' from around the country in a relaxed atmosphere. Guests staying at the Omni Hotel are urged to come across the bridge and join the FUN !

For planning purposes, our FORMAL Presentation will be held in the Hanger Deck of the USS Lexington starting at 1:00 PM on Saturday !

The Show & Shine will be held at the Texas State Aquarium on SUNDAY 16 Sept. 2007 9:00 am to 3 pm. This is a informal event that is open to ALL types of Cars, Trucks, etc. We have over a hundred cars registered and expect many more. By the way there is NO restriction on departure time so you can feel free to only stay for a couple hours before you head home. WE WILL BE HAVING A LARGE "SILENT AUCTION" WITH MANY GREAT ITEMS ON SUNDAY ! Shipping will be available if you need to leave early and win !!
