Could Anyone Tell Me If There Is A Difference In Transmission Gear Ratios Between The C6 Z51 Mn6 Speed And The Nonz51 Mn6 Speed. Are Either Of These The Same As My O2 Z06. I Am Planning On Buying An 07 And Would Like To Get The Same Gear Box As My Z06.i Think That They Both Come With 3.42 Rear Axle Ratio Which Is The Same As The Z06. There Seems To Be Alot Of Talk On This Forum About Loss Of 1/4 Mile Et With The C6 Over The C5z06 Due To Torque Management. Is This True Only With The Automatic Transmissions?

Fifth: - 0.74 vs 0.71 vs 0.84
Sixth: - 0.50 vs 0.57 vs 0.56
Reverse: 2.90 vs 3.28 vs 3.28
Final drive ratio: 3.42 vs 3.42

The manual C6 Z51 and the C5 Z06 have the exact same gearing through the first four gears.

First 2.66:1 / 2.97:1
Second 1.78:1 / 2.07:1
Third 1.30:1 / 1.43:1
Fourth 1.00:1 / 1.00:1
Fifth 0.74:1 / 0.71:1
Sixth 0.50:1 / 0.57:1
Final Drive 3.42:1
Can't say if it's the same as the C5 Z06. But the Tremec T56 is the same as an 04 Viper. Only difference, the final drive ratio (3.07:1).
