It is a 2007...listed by GM as a New color for Buick,m as it will be listed for us in 2008 on Corvette.
FROM MY WEBSITE;
"Here is A car in my local area that has ALL of the actual Crystal Red Metallic on it. 89U will be the replacement color for 80U Monterey in 2008 on Corvette…
I know a lot of folks are on the fence of ordering the new color without seeing more than a fender, and for that we apologize for GM. The entire color on the car has just not been available to us to see, so showing you the entire color, exact color on another GM car, may help in your decisions. Thank-you for your business considerations, I want your orders and will do all I can to help.
Nobody works harder to provide you the right information, than EVS~Random Lake, it’s our pleasure to do so!
As in a previous Corvette color, I found this color, equally as tough to photograph. It looks a lot closer to our old Magnetic Red than I thought. The new Crystal Red has a lot of Cherry undertone to it, whereas Monterey Red has a brown burgundy base. I have a couple of other pictures for you.
Many of you are on the fence and without having solid pricing, we want you to have as much info to help in your decision as possible. You already KNOW we can and WILL help. Thank-you for viewing the site, so much more to come.
We are looking forward to being a part of your special purchase, thank-you!"

Appreciate it! I'm looking at getting an '08 in a few months and my wife and I were looking at the Monty Red but with the Crystal Red replacing it we're not sure if that is what we want to go with.

Man, that is exactly what I want. I like the cherry red - not the maroon / brown / burgundy red.
I know, I know - I like maroon on a jersey or cap, but on my cars, I don't like the brownish undertones in the red.

Honestly, after seeing this picture, I don't regret changing to Victory red. But I will say that I don't think the exposure is showing the color in it's best light. I think it will look fine, but it's not what I expected.
