Default LS2 to LS3 like LT1 to LS1 ?

Is the Power difference from LS2 to LS3 comparable to what it was from LT1 to LS1?

Not really. The last year of the LT1 had it at 300 hp (which it had been at for five years). And for the last year they modded one up and called it an LT4 with special parts and 330 hp. When the LS1 came out, I think it was 340 hp, or 10 more than the LT4. So, different engine, yes. Dramatically different power, no.

More like the 2001 LS1 to the 2001 LS6. 30 more HP due to better intake and heads.

LG Motorsports dyno says there is about a 50hp difference at the crank between stock LS2s and LS3s, regardless of what GM says.

From the LT1 to the LS1 there was a 45 hp jump, so it's comparable I would say.

That's exactly what it's like. Some might even try to say that it's similar to the move from the 2001 LS6 to the 2002 LS6, even though on paper it's only a 20hp gap between the two versus the roughly 40hp (30hp on paper) gap between the LS2 and LS3, I personally feel that the net performance differences between the 2001 Z06 and 2002 Z06 will be quite similar to the one between the 2007 LS2 and the 2008 LS3.

I think it's actually closer to a 40hp-45hp difference.

True, but the actually rwhp differences between the LT1 and LS1 cars might've been even more than that and of course the physical size/weight between the LT1 and the LS1/LS6 make the differences between them even greater yet. There are certainly WAY MORE similarities between an LS2 and an LS3 than there are between an LT1 and LS1.
The LT1 was a nice motor but the LSx motors are on whole 'nother planet.
