Average time between order and delivery on '08's?

Default Average time between order and delivery on '08's?
I ordered my 2008 VR coupe,2LT w/2tone,6spd,Z51,NPP (no constraints that I'm aware of) on July 3 (order# MDNRQK), 7 weeks ago and still have received no TPW. Just wondered the typical wait time others have endured?

Something is wrong. Contact your dealer, see if they have allocation.

Ordered mine on July 20th and it was built on August 20th and will be delivered on August 24th.

Ordered mine from Carl/Tim at Boardwalk on July 24th. Was built yesterday, August 20th. Expecting delivery next week in Redwood City.

Forum dealers with LARGE allocations are quoting 5-6 weeks, as long as there are no production constraints.

I did order from a small local dealer...... allocation of only 1 per year. Could that delay my order SO much?

If you ordered from a dealer who only gets ONE allocation per year, you may NEVER get your car. What happens if just one person was in line ahead of you? Would you then get pushed back to an 09 model?

My suggestion is to contact a forum dealer and re-order your car from someone who can get it built!

ordered mine on July 26th

currently status code 2000

I am hopeful for delivery around Sept 20th but no definitive answer until the order progresses further

I think a more relevant question may be to ask "What is the average wait time between an order being placed using a dealer's allocation and taking delivery?" Too many other variables come into play when somebody goes up to a dealer and says I'm ready to buy - how many allocations does the dealer have? Is there constraints that put off the actual order? etc etc.

I told my dealer I was ready about 3-4 weeks ago but didn't actually go though until Z51 and QG7 wheel constraints were lifted 2 weeks ago.

As soon as you get the car, join the Baton Rouge Corvette Club. Between the various southern Louisiana clubs, you will have something to do every weekend!
