New Vette owner
I've been driving/tracking a Nissan 350Z for about five years now, but I got the itch for a new car and started test driving several different cars. I checked out things like the Infiniti G, Lexus IS, BMW 335, used 911, etc., but decided "what the hell" and decided to test drive a Corvette.
It was in my garage within four hours of the test drive. Got myself a six speed Z51. Obviously you guys have seen one before, but I'm giddy so cut me some slack while I post some pics.
By the way, this is my first Corvette, so go easy on me. I'm learning more every day, but when I drove the car home I didn't even know what "LS3" meant.
I'm officially a converted import snob.

Welcome to the forum and the family. You came out of a great car. I think you'll enjoy the Corvette. These are great, fun cars. You've also come to the right place to learn about them. The collective souls here have literally been there and done that with all things Corvette. Have a look around and don't be afraid to ask quesitons. Everyone was new once. Here's to many miles of smiles.

Maxie Price was certainly the place to go in Atlanta if you want to test drive a Corvette. Most Chevy dealers have one or two in stock, but they are sitting in the showroom. At MP, they have 50+ Vettes on the lot, so you get to try out several configs. You get to contrast the Z51 package to normal and decide if that works for you.
