Default Cheapie Way To Lift A C6

In order to gain some clearance under my 07, I used a 2" X 12" X 8 ft. treated board. I cut 2 pcs each at 20", 16", and 12" long. This will make 2 ramps and consume 1 - 2" X 12" X 8 ft. board. Screw the pcs together using 1 - 20", 1 - 16", and 1 - 12" piece for each ramp. -- In order to change oil, I plan to place the ramps behind the front wheel, and back onto the ramps. -- If you need more clearance, after you are on the ramps, now a standard floor jack will go under, wherever you need.

That's the method I use to level my motorhome. I use four set's for the rear duals and two sets for the fronts.

I made 4 of these and pull up on both sets (front and back wheels) at the same time - no problems. This keeps the car level and no need for the jack.

I think making a simple wooden ramp is pretty much standard procedure for most people using a floor jack and adaptor beam....at least to get underneath the front of the car.

Buy plans for a wooden ramp? I don't think so. I never hired a structural engineer but my board ramps seem to work OK.

Looks like I missed my opportunity for fame and fortune. To think I've been helping people for free. Seemed like the right thing to do.

Yellow door opener guards are replaced by removing and replacing two screws. Now no one needs to buy the instructions. The other colors use the same technology.

I can't believe someone would pay for instructions to install a radar detector mount.

The worst one of all is that if you look at the post history and follow the link then to the website you will see where he took another forum members idea for a hardwired NPP switch, changed it a little and is now selling the instructions.
