How would you feel if your C6 was selected for this show?
I'm sure you know the drill, the owner thinks his car is stolen or misplaced, and its retured with wild paint, giant wheels, and other major mods.
I think I would be okay with it, just because the car would be worth more money, maybe?
But they do all the work in a very short time.

Melting Slicks
I wouldn't want them to touch my vette but I sure would love for Foose to build me a 34 Ford 5 window cpe on corvette running gear. Maybe a LS7 but for sure a new LSX V8. This guy is unbelievable with his hot rod design's.

Chip Foose is a master hot rodder. That said, if he tried to do that to my Corvette, he would be at the end of his illustrious career.

If Chip stole one of CF (especially a C6 Gen regular) guys car, first there would be a 10,000 post/100,000 view thread about "my baby was stolen" then a 50,000 post/5000,000 view thread, "I'm pressing charges against Chip, and I want him JAILED, even though the car look hott, heres the pics"

I'll say it right here and now...
If Chip Foose wanted to work his magic on my C6, I would be quite happy. His style and taste is tops, and can't imagine anything he would do that would not be excellent.

To be sure, I'd probably have a heart attack if I really thought my car was stolen.

I'd just like to know what "he" thinks needs changing. For sure a paint "scheme" and probably remove what there is of the door handles and emblems. A hood and spoiler change but what else could you do without runing the "look"? Oh, wheels of course. Not much that most on this site haven't thought about or done. It would be interesting to see a drawing of his thoughts............

I agree. I can't imagine doing much - I like things simple. But I'd make an exception for Chip. I know some hot rod builders & painters in Houston who have worked with him, and they say he is a genuinely great guy, and a true gentlemen.
Worst case is that the car would be worth good money when he's done with it. His name is probably the most respected in his field right not (as opposed to Boyd who has really screwed up his reputation).

I'm not sure that I've seen a NEW car yet that I think Chip did that was near the calibre of his classic and muscle cars. Sure he's got good taste, but everything from the 80s on to me that he's done just hasn't been that spectacular. Sometimes less is more, and some of those new GT Rustangs that he just repaints and throws body kits and big wheels on doesn't terribly impress me...
Just my thoughts.

I bet he would get good enough feedback from my family/friends that I'd end up loving whatever he would do. As long as he doesn't go past a 19/20 combo I may even like his custom wheels (I typically do not).

Stick with old hot rods and leave vettes alone.

Are you kidding...Chip Foose and his team can work their magic on my Vette anytime. It would be absolutley awesome. Why, because someone close to me would communicate how I would ultimatley like to make this car.

Chip can't have my C6, but I wonder what he could/would do to my former(twice removed) DD: 1997 E350 15 passenger Clubwagon (110,000 miles)! Still in the driveway, just waiting to be "stolen" and worked on, Chip!
