Default Possible NAV bug...can yas confirm?

Was messing around with the voice recognition NAV commands in my '08 Coupe this evening. I state "Screen Off," the voice responds "screen off" and the screen blackens as expected. I then state, "Night Mode On," the voice responds "Screen Night Mode On" but the screen remains black.

A simple touch of the NAV hard button and the screen appears.

Am just curious if anyone can replicate. Thanks.

Dan

PS. Please no "If you build it, he will come" flames. Thanks.

I don't think its a bug, rather they simply left out a command to turn it back on with voice. Day, Night or Auto mode will still do its job but a screen off overrides...I think...this is all I found:

Screen Commands
Screen Day Mode, Day Mode On: These
commands will adjust the system’s screen setting
to the day mode.
Screen Night Mode, Night Mode On: These
commands will adjust the system’s screen setting
to the night mode.
Screen Auto Mode, Auto Mode On: These
commands will adjust the system’s screen setting
to auto mode.
Screen Off: This command will turn the system’s
screen display off.

There is no command to turn the screen on. If you think about it, you have to hit the voice commannd button anyway so hitting the nav button is actually shorter since you don't have to say anything.

Ooops! Looks like Denso forgot a command. Screen Off turns the screen off but they didn't include Screen On. The first time I tried that command I thought I'd broken the Nav for good.

Confirmed on my car. I thought that the "Map" voice command would turn it back on but it does not. There is no voice command to turn the screen back on. The Nav is still active in the background and all you've done is told it to turn the screen off. Once you stated Night Mode on, it worked...you just couldn't see it. The only option is to hit the Nav hard button to display the screen again.
