Default window sticker dealer order?

I recently bought my first Vette. I asked the dealer to carefully remove the window sticker and give it to me when I picked up the car. Well I got it but it is in poor shape. I asked the dealer to order a new sticker and build sheet. But they gave me the number to call the Corvette Museum. I know I can BUY them there, but can't the dealer just order new ones from the factory? Or not?

Thanks

Here is what build sheet will look like. You will have to order from the Museum. My vette is a 2008. The 07 in the corner of the build sheet is the model code for a coupe, not the year of the car.

He could order it from the Museum but not the factory.

That dealer should not be selling Corvettes. He should have known he was selling "The Great American Sports Car" and buyers of this machine, want to keep their stickers.

I'd take him to small claims court

You know I'm kidding? ...or am I? ... You need to hold this sign and stand next to him !

At least that dealer knew about the museum. I had to explain the NCM delivery to the local dealer I first ordered from.

I gotta quit staying up so late. Just buy a window sticked from the museum ................. Really, you just spent how much on the car and you want the dealer to pop for a window sticker ? If this is the only problem you ever encounter during the time you own your car, you've been blessed. Also, read the owners manual. It will save you untold embarrassment.

While I know you can get stickers from the NCM (done it I also have build sheet) I question the dealerships oversight.

I have bought close to 50 new cars or trucks (from a total of 8 different car shops) and I have always been given the window sticker in prestine condition. This goes for ordered cars/trucks to product already sitting on the dealers lot. When I get rid of something, I leave it for the next owner. The exception to that I keep the build sheet when I traded my 05 Vette.

I don't think he’s complaining about buying a new window sticker, I think he’s complaining about how inconsiderate it was of the dealer to allow the sticker to get damaged. .... Training employees ... are the key words.

I would be angry too. That's my right.

Congratulations …. You did the right thing. This will encourage the dealer to train his people on better customer satisfaction.

we can order replacement window stickers from the factory. Unfortantly, they usually get folded up in the mail from USPS. It comes in a large brown envelope.
