Costco Gas?
I know the requirement to use only quality, premium fuel in my car. I learned with my 01 that anything but the best, resulted in higher levels of sulfur and problems showing up in a malfunctioning fuel guage. Here in the Seattle/Tacoma area I have used Chevron (Techron), Shell, and sometimes Texaco and have had success in eliminating any guage problems.
Costco offers lower prices on gas plus a generous cash rebate for using their American Express card for gas. The tankers that fill the Costco tanks are unmarked as far as the originating refinery.
So, what do you think? Okay to use Costco premium?

I used Costco gas when I had my C5 and had issues with my sending units/ fuel gauge reading wrong! The dealership said that Costco in AZ has heavy sulfur contents that affects the units! I switched to Chevron which worked fine and I didn't experience anymore gauge issues.
When I got my C6 I decided I will only use Mobil or Chevron not Costco!

we used Costco and Sam's club gas exclusively for a year on my wife's Trailblazer and ended up with severe hestiation problems....
It took a couple tankfulls of Seafoam and Shell V Power to get rid of it....

The name brands have better additives and cleaners that Costco brand does not. I work in a oil refinery and they blend depending on who is buying it. Gas is gas but without the additives they tend to foul plugs and plug up injectors. Stay with the name brands like Shell or Chevron.

NO!!! How much money are you going to save to take the chance? I keep reading posts here about people saying the "cam lope" is normal on this car. No it isn't! The LS2/LS3 doesn't have a radical cam. It doesn't lope when it has 3 miles on the odo. It lopes when people have put cheap gas in it. Mine is still smooth as glass after 13K. I think it is because I use only 93 octane Shell, Texaco, and Chevron. I figure this has cost me less than $50 over the past year. Well worth it.

NEWS FLASH: All gasoline in MD uses up to 10% Etnanol to meet emissions standards.
I've used Costco premium in our Acura MDX for years without any problems. Costco even has placards atop each of their pumps now stating they use additives for engine performance and that their inline pump filters are changed on a regular basis, something that can't be said for some of the local "top-tier" stations. You can always spot clogged or dirty pump filters by the slow flow rate at which the fuel is dispensed.
Aside: Isn't it a bit ironic that most of the gasoline stations, at least in the Washington/Baltimore Metro-area, are now owned and/or operated by middle-easterners?
