Which gas pedal?
I have been thinking about getting the gm pedal and covers. But I also see aftermarket pedals available. Have heard of installation issues with the aftermarket type. Can't decide and gf will no longer give opinion on parts. Does anybody have any experience with the gm pedal or a good aftermarket alternative?

I had one of the very first set over 2 years ago and you are correct they are of a quality above all others. I don't choose to resell many of other peoples parts but this is a no brainier. If Jeff made the C6 we would have nothing to bitch about.
Took these 2 years ago, the quality and finish is the best I have ever seen

I have the Elite pedals (and most of their other items) on my C5. All of them have been FLAWLESS in both manufacture and support - and I'm fussy.
I wrote a few days ago asking which of the parts I could transfer from a C5 to a C6Z06. I was told the pedals and tunnel plate.

I have been installing The one from Elite, if you look at his instructions they are very clear.

I have the Elite Engineering Pedals. Very nice and match the factory pedals perfect. Very easy to install, but the big trick is if you can easily fit under the steering wheel and between the door and seat to work. I fit ok, but got frustrated very quick and just took out the gas pedal assembly so I could make the change on the workbench. Assembly is held in place with only 2 bolts. Easy to take out.

Got the Elite. Love 'em. If you don't take the pedal out, go directly to the C - clamp press method. Get a clamp with a deep enough throat to fit the pedal but small enough to manipulate one handed. There is no working room around the pedal and it seems impossible that you can pull the existing pin with vice grips.

Installed the Elite pedals today and they are outstanding. I used the C-Clamp method to move the pin a 1/4" and then grabbed with large vise grips. I also cut out a section of the OEM pedal covering the pin which makes it easier to see what one is doing.
