What's the name of your 'Vette?
Throughout this forum I've seen occasional references to our Vettes by name. Some put that name on their vanity plate, some don't but still have a name. If you don't mind sharing, what is the name of your car and why did you choose that name?
My car's name is BABY. The night I drove it home my wife asked me for the keys to go to Walmart. I looked at her like she had antenna coming out of her head. She got mad and stomped down the stairs into the garage. As she slammed the door, she said "You'd think I asked him to give up his baby or something." So I turned it back on her when she came home from Wally World and told her that No one is driving my BABY until I teach them how to use a clutch! Later that weekend I bought her plenty of Rubies and Diamonds (Fire and Ice). She seems satisfied.

Her name is Jessica. It has something to do with Jessica Rabbit and that's all the details and give in this post. Like your story the wife named mine.

Very timely thread....I just call it the Vette--As in "We're taking the Vette"!
Wifey calls it THAT car--As in "If you buy one more thing for THAT car"...fill in the blank...

"Monty". It's Monterey Red, of course, and also I'm a graduate of San Diego State, where the mascot is Monty Montezuma. Oh, and I have the red/black interior, the school colors.

I used to think that giving a car a name is really goofy, however, after watching Pirates of the Caribean one weekend me and my girl went for ride, as we started to pull out of the driveway the car flexed a bit and made all sorts of creaking and popping noises, my girl goes "hey, it's just like being on the Black Pearl", the Black Pearl is the ship in the movie which ofcourse creaked and groaned as old wooded ships do....
Anyway, the name stuck, it's now "The Black Pearl", although we don't really call it that in public

I call her BabyGurl, wifey asked what are you doing today, and I said me and BabyGurl gonna take a ride, she said who? I said BabyGurl, my other woman
