Default Ugly fog lights?

How many of you guys HATE the factory fog lights under your HID headlights??? Check these out:

Color (camera picks up glare unfortunately)

Stock vs HID on wall:

Just headlights:

Just HID fogs:

Both together (AWESOME! )

Plug and Play HIDs in 8000k REALLY light up the road in front of the car and look awesome! Not blinding at all to oncoming traffic either - tried and tested thoroughly. Improved look and safety! Plug and play, NO cutting, install instructions help you install these in no time with only a few hand tools. No heat issues. Comes with harness containing a relay that will actually reduce the draw on your factory fog light wiring.

Check the C6 Parts for the thread on the forum sale. They are going fast.... guys love them!!

If you just wanted to get rid of the yellowish look at a cheap price you can always go with our xenon replacement that uses the same wattage as stock and is DOT approved! Info on that thread as well.

Here's a picture of the same xenon bulb in a Dodge foglight housing just for color comparison:

CHECK OUT THE LINK FOR SALES INFO HERE:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1953542

Hopefully some of the forum guys who bought the first orders will chime in with some pics

Not sure why you can't see them, but PM me your email and I'll send them to you.

Sorry Mont, best color I can do is 6000k right now. Should have some pics of that color for you in the near future. Interested to see them myself!

What I want to know is: how do they perform in fog?

The point of foglights is not to see better in fog. They are meant so that YOU can be seen better in the fog by other drivers.

This brings up a point for me as years ago add on fog lamps always had a VERY yellow lens. The reason was supposed to be that yellow light would penetrate the fog easier, i.e. a yellow blotch in heavy fog was easier to detect by on coming traffic.

I need to check the manual to be honest, but I think these are actually 'driving lights' not 'fog lights' on the Vettes. Not sure on that. Any way you cut it, I can tell you that these out perform the stock halogen bulb at least 3 times brighter. Have not driven in fog with them but I have driven in heavy rain with them and they worked great.

Will check the manual on that - unless someone knows?

Interesting fog light theory info:
http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF5/593.html

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...ght_color.html

Definately has been a controverial subject about yellow fogs for a long time...

If I had time I would drive around the world until I came upon some fog to answer your question about fog, but in the mean time I'll have to wait. Since fog reflects light and causes it to scatter, much like very heavy rain, I think they will work better than stock based on my experience with heavy rain.

Thanks, just found it too. I'll send out an email to the first 25 customers and see if anyone runs into some morning fog if they will give me some feedback.

Yeah, now we can be just like all the jacked up truck and SUV drivers that think it looks cool to drive everywhere with driving lights on blinding everyone.
