Default C6 rocking drivers seat

Anyone else have a very slight rock in the drivers seat. I saw the C5 guys worked on it but no C6.

Have you checked the bolts in the seat track? I had a loose one that caused the seat to rock a bit.

I am VERY happy to report that, NO, I have not heard of this from anybody I know, nor has it happened to me. I did finally fix my '97 C5 seat - was not that hard once I figured it out, but not what I want to do on my C6.

I concur with another poster - check the bolts first and make certain they are tight. The other solution is more difficult ...

Since you asked, I notice a slight rock or shift on mine, generally only noticable on hard deceleration. It hasn't bothered me enough to look into it. Sounds like I should stop being lazy and check the seat track bolts...

Yes, and it's bugging me. It feels like sloppy tracks but I will check the bolts

Seriously,I read in a car mag that most of the complaints came from people who weighed more than 200 lbs.Don't know how true this is.

BS. I weigh 185-190. This is a GM issue. I have heard of other models with the same problem.

Now if I could just figure out how to make the gas gauge show empty when it's actually full...I would really feel like I was back in my old C5.

195 lbs and it just started a few weeks ago. I only feel it on heavy acceleration and when I push back in my seat. My lazy **** needs to get down and check the bolts. Been messing with my Silverado SS and new quads as of late so the C6 has taken a back seat.

Yes, I had it in my 05. Dealer fixed it under warrenty. They had to replace the entire seat base, track, electrical motors, everything except the upolistery. It comes as one piece bolt in assembly.

Be careful, they scratched my door jams, (which I fixed) but the seat is now rock solid.

Oh no!!!!!! I had this on my C5 and as I recall it was a TON of money to get it fixed. I had GMPP so it cost me $50. I'm hoping I don't have to deal with this on the C6.

If they are using the same seat tracks that they used in the C5, there are plastic gears inside that are doomed to fail sooner or later. They often last just long enough to get you out of warranty. The gear teeth chip or break, the seats then start to rock, and GM then sticks their hand out for about $1,200 a pop for replacement.

My C6 is 8 weeks old and I weigh about 165#'s. It's getting worse each time I drive it. I also have clutch that chatters like a SOB, so it it is getting close to taking it in.

Default Yes

Had that happen on my 2005. Dealer fixed it under warranty. But, when I picked it up there was something wrong (can't remember exactly what it was) and they had to use the Tech II to re-set the computer? That is probably part of the repair.
