V1 Radar detector is just awesome!
I went to Wisconsin 2 weekends ago and to the lake of the ozarks(fulton county screw you! you will never get me again lol) last weekend. All I have to say is the V1 is flat out awesome. I just can't get over how much range this thing has. I'm slowed down a mile before any of those cops went by. Also, the arrows are just sick awesome. I don't know how I ever lived with my escort before (no offense escort owners, not trying to start a war). Anyways, it's incredible. They only thing I wish it had was the auto muting like my escort. Oh well. For the huge improvment in range and functionality I can live with that. I can honestly say I feel comfortable driving at higher speeds without getting busted. It also jammed a couple of the radars. Never seen that before!

Not to worry! You can program your new V1 to do just about anything you like. Here's the link to instructions:

Personally I just run mine in "Little L" mode most of the time and I haven't felt the need to change the factory settings, but if you want to, now you can. Enjoy!
However....your V1 will not jam radar, it will block false alarms from junk detectors like Cobra though. When it does that it displays a "J". Maybe that's what you meant by jamming.

the V1 is an awesome detector but just keep in mind many state police are using laser now and it's very pinpoint....I've passed traps that the V1 does not pick up when shooting another vehicle, only when he has you in the sights....nothing is worse than speeding and have it go off at full blast with the laser mode lit up....might as well just pull over....

These units were probably given to them by GEICO Insurance, the same company that gave them many radar guns over the past 15 years.
GEICO is equal opportunity though; it does it across the country.

Correct. Maryland Highway something or other had lots of the laser units out on I-95 this past weekend.

I have one of those visor mounts(not the one with the kit but the one from the forum vendor on here). It's perfect. The thing has a clear view out of the front and the back. I don't remeber how much. It's on their site. I think like $399.

I was coming home from Wisconsin Sunday.....I was second in line in the right lane, a guy was passing me in the left lane and the cop in the medium shot me instead of either one of the other cars. So much for driving a red vert. I speed much more in my wifes Volvo station wagon and the cops pretty much ignore me

yep. You really can tell on the road. Just look at the curve test on there. The V1 blows away all the rest lol. It's not even close. I still can't get over how will the rear portion of the detector works. I mean it still goes off on the rear arrow a mile away from a cop. Simply awesome!
