Got some info on HP numbers for C6
FWIW:
I spoke to a manager, who will remain nameless, who's job had to do with testing/developing an aspect of the powertrain for C6.
Im told:
C6
Z06 = 450HP
Base = 405HP

Hmm.... those are kinda close the the #s I got. I also spoke with "somebody" in the drivetrain division.
L68 (Fr Coupe and Convertible models)
6 liter (368ci)
400 hp
390 ft/lb
Going to be built at the Romulus Plant as apposed to St. Catherine
LS7 (For whatever replaces the Z06)
6.4 liter (393ci)
450hp
440 ft/lbs
Most likely (at the time, about 2-3 months ago) to be built by an outside provider.
The LS88 Viper killer remains unconfirmed rumor at this time.

Hey Kewlbrz,
GM Powertrain has been handing out those numbers for a while: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=170156
The guy I talked to said it was still a 2 valve, cam-in-block motor, with a modest displacement bump. (6.0L for the 405 HP and 6.4L for the 455HP)
I wonder, if the C6 is truley delayed as the rumors indicate, will we see these engines in last year C5's, with something more exotic for the C6? :smash: :smash:

When I first started talikingabout the C6 in this section I thought it was fascinating. But I've painfuly come to realze that its getting to be insane at discusing an event thats 3-4 years away!
