Default GS Stripes

Looking for constructive input on adding some black GS(fender stripes) I bought from Vettestripes? If you've done this, anything I need to know...? No instructions came with the stripes!

Pics of my LMB vert...

Top up(Lights out!)

Go for it. I think GS stripes will look great on your car. I believe the instructions to install stripes are on vettestripes website. It's a wet application so you have a few minutes so you can move them around.

Would you suggest running the stripe to or past/ under the finder lip? I've seen some applied both ways.

I did it last month. The trick is to go slow. The curves of the fender will cause a lot of bubbles and wrinkles as you go. SLOWLY work them out a little at a time. I bought the RF look alikes and trashed the first one I did because I got impatient. The next ones came out great. I worked it for a few minutes then walked away for few. Best of luck and post pics.

I tried looking for vettestripes website, but no go. Anyone have it handy?

White stripes on a Velocity Red car should look good, huh?

I applied mine under fender lip. Make sure you clean under there real well if you decide to go that route. I also centered gap between stripes over center cap of wheels with 1/4" space between stripes.

Does that mean you're putting them on the passenger side only or you're putting them on both sides? Or are you just having a little fun with us.

I had a local installer do racing stripes on my C6 last week. They look Had considered the GS stripes but decided to go bold. Saw one at a Corvette show this weekend that had 3 stripes instead of 2, kinda liked it.

Good luck and post pictures when you've got them installed.

Tom - you'll also probably want to try them out just laying on the car first, so you can figure out what angle you want them at. Someone posted his measurements from his C4 GS a little while back, with the gap centered on the axle, and the stripes at a 45 degree (I think) angle. I tried that with the stripes I got from Vettestripes, but they didn't quite reach, so I backed off the angle a bit. I think if I had a chance to look at them before I started the application process, I would have gone a little further back, and at even less of an angle - they're a little too close to the headlights for me. Not much, but a little.

The [I]kit[/I actually came with 3 stripes(an extra one I figured for trial/ error.) One day driving thru a Best Buy parking lot I saw a C5 with stripes on the passenger side only. I thought to myself, That's different? Hmm? I also had planned to do my calipers in black...

So many things to do, so little time.
