probably I agree, too, altho some will say what your top came with and car soap are just fine for quite awhile. maybe, but I wasn't trusting enough for just that. get raggtop./

Buy a car with a black top. Have had two black top Corvettes; three oak. The oak looked bad from the beginning. BTW, these were always garaged and never stored with the top down for a long period of time. That said, soap and water seemed to work best...cleaners (though never used Raggtop) were ineffectual.

Peace, out..

PS: The 2009 with black top seems to gather "dust" when stowed. It appears at the lower rear corners...both sides. Interesting and annoying...

I have a tan top, and use the Ragg Topp products. The cleaner does a great job of lefting dirt out of the fabric . . . the protectant helps the top from absorbing matierials that might stain it . . .

Before I do anything, I vacumn the top with our house vacumn cleaner . . . I don't want to rub any dust/dirt into the top. It's kind of the same principal as "dusting" the car prior to washing/detailing.

Thanks everyone. i purchased the RaggTop cleaner and conditioner on ebay for $31.00 including shipping. Going to take your advice to vacuum and then clean and condition.

Everyone has been super helpful to a novice on a Vert. First one in 58 years. My wife says it is a past midlife crisis crisis.
