Default Cracks on FOB?

I keep my 08 FOB in a backpack most of the work week and only take it out on the weekends when running errands. They're nice looking and everything, but I normally don't pay much attention to it.

Today I took a look at it outdoors and noticed 3 cracks in the FOB on the logo side. I'm not talking scratches. I mean cracks! Has anyone else had this type of problem? I take very good care of my car and would remember if something happened to it that would cause this kind of damage.

One of the cracks is bulging up from the case as if something happened inside the case. What the heck. I am perplexed.

It still works. I searched the forum and found another thread with the same issue. I guess I'll try to get the dealer to replace it.

If for some reason they won't replace it, I'll have a couple for sale soon. Much less than new.

Dealer replaced with no hassle...programming was another story. Why the three 10 minute countdowns? After the first countdown, I got in the car with a recognized FOB. Big mistake! I had to restart the process. Keep al other FOB away from the car when programming a FOB. Took about 50 minutes total.

Here I am less than a year later and my replacement FOB is developing the same type of micro-cracks. THe crack are on the side of the FOB with the round vette logo.

Does nobody else have this problem?

Dealer replaced it again. It's hard to believe I am the only one with this problem. Take a close look at your FOB.
