Tried Meguier's NXT 2.0 After Zaino! WOW!!!
I must say after using Zaino, I was totally amazed at how well my car looked. However, after reading many posts on this forum at NXT wax, I decided to give it a try, and let me tell you, I was very impressed. Now I just can't decide which one to use.

It's like zaino without the chemistry set...and you can get it anywhere. Better on scratches after multiple applications. I used this on my "pre corvette" yesterday and it looks about the same as what the 43 coats of Z-8675309 followed by Z-whatever did. The zaino zealots will be quick to point out this is a wax, not a polish. Looks good!

So the NXT is a Wax or a Polish? Is it true that the difference between wax and polish is that wax protects while polish just shines?

Technically speaking a polish is something that has mild abrasives in it and removes a little bit of clearcoat in order to get rid of scratches and swirls. So a lot of stuff on the market is incorrectly labelled as a polish as they have no abrasives in it.
Something like Meguiar's #9 swirl remover or their #80 would be considered polishes. They remove minor imperfections, but leave no protection behind. You have to follow that up with something else like NXT.
NXT is labelled as a wax, but it's really a synthetic sealant. A wax would be something like their #26 yellow wax, although even something like that is a blend of synthetic and carnuba wax. Zaino's line of stuff like Z2 and Z5 are not waxes or polishes, they are also synthetic sealants.

NXT is a hydrophobic polymer technology. Zaino has a similar product. Bottom line you use it as a final coat to protect the polish from oxidation, UV, corrosion. Start by assessing the condition of your paint.
If you need a good baseline follow these steps
1. Good Wash / Claybar
2. Cleaner Wax (Meguiars is good)
3. Polish (Your choice - I used Meguiars)
4. NXT 2.0 (Polymer Sealent - Final Coat)
This weekend all I needed to do was Step #1 (Wash) and Step #3 and Step #4 since my paint was in pretty good shape.
Here's a Pic.

My Polish choice is Meguiars Deep Crystal #2 (Part 2 of there 3 step system)
I am experimenting with Polishes that sync with NXT 2.0.. Next time I am thinking of trying that expensive can you see at all the autoparts places with the Vette on it (24 bux a can) followed by NXT 2.0
I recall getting a good shine with that stuff but without a topcoat such as 2.0 its a waste of time using a polish only.
Key is to follow with NXT 2.0 (Not #3 of the Meguiar system)
So heres the bottom line revised with products I use.
1. Good Wash / Claybar
2. Cleaner Wax (Meguiars Deep crystal #1)
3. Polish (Meguiars Deep crystal #2) * Works great followed by NXT 2.0 and I substitute 2.0 over #3 in the system.
4. NXT 2.0 (Polymer Sealent - Final Coat)
