Default traction control button inoperative

Traction control button not working. Is there a fuse or something else I can check before I bring it back to dealer for service? Traction control and active handling kick in but pressing button does not disable either function.

As stupid as this sounds did you hold the button down for at least 7 10 sec.

There doesn't appear to be a separate fuse for TC/AH. Have you done any work on the console? Maybe you loosened the switch - I had that happen to me. You can also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then reconnecting to try and reset the computers. Remember to re-index the windows if you do.

Wouldn't hurt to pop the console off real quick and check the connection of the tcs wires to the switch.

The long press is to disable both AH and TC. He should still be able to cycle through all-on, TC-off, and Competition Mode with quick presses of the button. If not, something's busted.

Just to confirm, you're saying that when you press the button, nothing changes on the DIC, right?

My button actually came apart when I tried to unplug it during MGW shifter install. I was looking at the blue LED and the button internals. Fortunately it reassembled (snapped back together) without incident. If you've had the console apart, this may have happened to you.
