Default Who here has bought zinc plated Z51 rotors...recommendations?

I have C6 Z51 rotors on my C5 having bought the OEM brake package from a Forum member. Rotors are fine but I now want some bling to pop out from underneath my rims and want to get a zinc plated set.

Who here has bought aftermarket zinc rotors and we you pleased with the zinc plating?

Any vendor recommendations would be appreciated...any Forum Vendors out there? Always good to throw some business towards the people who help keep this site going.

Thanks in advance....

I bought the Baer Decelarotor, slotted and drilled. Some of the zinc wears off after a while (pad area) but they still seem to repel any surface rust that you see after washing the car. they have always looked shiny.
Hope this helps

Bought Baer Eradspeed plus 2 and haven't any rust after rains or wash jobs and they look great. Plus the rear ones now fill the wheel as like the front ones.

Look in the phone book for Zinc platers and have yours zinc-washed...that's what I plan on doing.Should cost about $25 a rotor.

That is exactly what I plan to do. For $100 bucks you can't beat it. As long as the rotors are off that would be a good time for powdercoated calipers ans SS lines.

I got the 2pc Baer Eradispeeds.... for my Z51.... love em... no rusted areas on them.... they have the black hats around the middle area which look great....plus the rear is a larger rotor than stock and fills the wheel area up more... I love the look.... my 2 cents...

Personally I know the zinc coating washes off after a while. Obviously others have experienced the same thing here.

My fix is less expensive. I tell all my customers to hit the rotors with a few coats of high temp clear and they will stay like new for a long time. It doesn't wash off and the brakes burn the clear off where it is needed!

The rotors look great. Was there any improvement in stopping performance?

YUP! I agree... thats what I got. Almost went with the 2-piece, but opted to keep the extra cash in my pocket. However, nice looking rotors TrayC6.

Heres mine....
