Using my own deductive reasoning, the message appears to be written by someone named David

The people that do the Museum Delivery detail leave their names.

I think that the R8C is the museum delivery option, the PDI stands for Pre-Delivery Inspection, then the date that was done and the folks who did it.....(and you KNOW what NCM stands for, right?)

The R8C code should be on the tag inside the glovebox lid

so:

N.C.M.: National Corvette Museum

R8C: Museum delivery option code.

P.D.I.: Pre-Delivery Inspection.

Makes perfect sense. Im going in the garage to look for that R8C option code on my glovebox lid.

Look in your drivers door jamb. You should have one of these.

I ordered the R8C (Museum Delivery) option when I purchased my 09 Vert. My delivery date was 9/22/08. I read about the signatures on the underside of the car while reading threads on the forum. A quick look under my car verified the signatures and the date that my car was detailed at the museum. The date and names matched the information on the detail sheet that I got. Wanting to preserve the signatures, I jacked up the driver's side of the car, cleaned the area with warm water and auto soap, and gave it several light coats of clear coat, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next. Wife's hair dryer helped the drying process. I am now looking for other locations that may have been signed doring production.

First, just look on the inside of the glovebox door at the option list...look for R8C...if its there, then crawl around underneath later

On mine too.....we saw the NCM prep area where they get the cars cleaned up and while on the lift they "autograph" it.

I'll have to check on mine when I have it up in the air for the next oil change in a week or two to see how my "NCM notes" are holding up after three years.

Here's how it look in 2006.....
