Default Reeves Callaway Special Edition C6.. from Callaway Cars

I just found out about this.....

Available only from your local Callaway Dealer:

Reeves Callaway Signature Edition Corvette (RCSE)
1 of 29 car limited production (one for each Callaway Dealer)
Supercharged 606 horsepower/553 lb-ft of torque (SAE)
Callaway Carbon Fiber Hood component
Callaway Hyper-black Flow-forged aluminum wheels
RCSE Interior Group
Specific RCSE Details
and MUCH MORE...

This is gonna be sweet. I think we've already seen the new hood and it looks awesome. I can't wait. I know of at least one or two already spoken for.

I don't like the Callaway body work. Looks like they are trying to be the prancing horse. And second, I can't afford one anyway. So they shouldn't care what I think.

Doesn't matter what the hood looks like because you will never see that end of a Callaway. I'd change the pipes though.

Guys, this is not the C16 car. This going to be a standard C6 body with the new Callaway hood which looks absolutely sweet.

The funny thing about the prancing horse comment is that the Callaway look started back in the late 90's with the Callaway Camaro, its been around a while. Even funnier is that the new Ferrari California borrows quite a few styling clues from the C16...which has been out considerably longer.

I don't find this to be funny. Nor funnier. So if I may. The late 90's Callaway Camaro kit reminds me of my 97 Firebird with a Pinocchio complex. That Firebird was built in the Pontiac plant in S CA. Building new lemons on every shift. We all make mistakes. Me and the guy that I sold it to were in the front of that line.

So in the interest of accuracy here. The C16 Callaway looks like a Corvette disguised as a Ferrari. If the Ferrari is copying the Callaway (?), then it sucks too. Of course, I've never seen one. Which is not funny either. And I still can't afford either one. Which is sad. So the OP should not care what I think.

And the Callaway C6 package is north of $20K plus the C6 to build it on. That kind of money for a stock car with a stunning hood and a custom decal certainly isn't funny.

Eh guys?

Not to hijack a thread, but Ferrari designs have REALLY taken a dive w/ the California, 512, etc. So sad after decades of design excellence.

But back to Callaways, I don't think they've looked good since the C4 Callaway Speedsters, Aerobody packages in the early '90s.

Performance is a totally different story!

Why is it that people don't even read a thread before they bother posting? It makes one look so incredibly intelligent.

Here is the hood. Freakin

Sorry, but that hood design looks like a goiter/added on. Even if it is a 1-piece hood, the graphics makes it look like a$$... IMHO.

The Reeves Callaway Special Edition is like the current SC580 Corvette they sell, only it has over 600 hp and over 550 ft-lbs of torque.

The internet haters of the C16 are pretty funny, as most as you say, don't read well - if at all...

More power, cool styling elements, specific number sequence, and signed by the legend. Sounds BAD AZZ to me Thanks for the info

We Corvette owners have long had to endure the repeated "compensation" comments from onlookers regarding our choice of chariot, and unfortunately at the release of this new special edition, we've provided the naysayers with even more joke fodder in the form of a giant phallus embedded into the hood of our cars.

Wonderful.
