[VIDEO] Juechter: Corvette Grand Sport is the New Z51
This is from the Grand Sport walk-around on Saturday with Corvette Team members Tadge Juechter and Harlan Charles. This walk-around focused more on the improvements with performance the wide body package brings.
As Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter discussed the new model, he consistantly compared it to Z51, using descriptions like "better" and "faster".
He also introduces us to the new Z52 RPO package for manual coupes.

Thanks for the video and clarification on the Grand Sport option. So the Z51 is replaced by the Z 16 with the wide body, larger brakes, larger tires, improved suspension and the Z52 option will add a dry sump, Z51 gearing, relocation of the battery and available in a manual coupe only pulling 1g. All manuals will have launch control (stated in another video) and with the Z52 option 0 to 60 is expected to be 4.0 or better, further testing to be done. The launch control will regulate the torque to maximize traction and increase 0 to 60 times. Not bad GM.

Can you get the Z52 with the F55? I am not sure from the explaination in the video if the Z52 was an add on to the GS model. I was thinking F55 (with Z51 sways) and the Z52... possible?
Thanks
