Default Split Collars for NPP Vacuum Rods.

This info has been posted before and I'm referring to a post a while back, .. which I can't find.

One of the Forum Vendors sells Split Collars that can be put on the Vacuum rods of the NPP exhaust.
Install the collars on the rods so they're up against the lock nut.
Then when in the closed position, the flap is still open about 1/8 "
It does not affect the way the flaps open/close on their own,.. or with the M2W switch.
I had bought some a while back from my Industial supplier after seeing a Forum member do it.
I finally put them on and the exhaust sounds Real Nice now.
Just enough sound to make it louder with a little rumble and pop, but not annoying and No Drone at the lower RPM's.
And, if someone wanted it to be louder but not as loud as when wide open:
just move the collars away from the lock nut a bit more.

Also, the Forum Vendor that was offering these had a good price for the Collars.
Including a Long Allen wrench, with the collars, to make it easier to install them.
It's a good deal,.. the Vendors price was less than what it cost me.

Anyway, if the Vendor or anyone remembers the post, I just thought it was worth bringing back up.

I, too, bought a set of these from Ed several months ago. I played around with the collars until I got just the right amount of opening when they are in the closed position. Man, what a great sound the car has now. It sounds so good with those collars on, I rarely use my M2W switch to open them up all the way.

No drone, car sounds great. Thanks, Ed!!!!

I agree, I bought my collars to go with Ed's M2W switch, really makes a difference!
I just re-adjusted them again for a slightly louder sound, I love the enhanced "mild" sound now.

Ed, you really need to release a sound video of the before and after exhaust sound of your collar installed on the NPP exhaust system.
I would bet that you will be swamped with buyers after they hear how great this simple and inexpensive mod sounds with your M2W!

with the flaps Wide Open at lower RPM's it was missing that Sweet Sound.
Now it is Perfect.
Of course, I still love the sound with WIDE OPEN flaps at WIDE OPEN throttle.

Can the collars be adjusted in such a way to reduce the sound level in the wild mode. I'd like to set it up this way as I have LT headers now and it is really loud in the wide open mode.
