Default Please help can anyone tell me how much warranty ...

Can anyone please tell me how much warranty is left or what the initial service date was on a 2006 Z06 VIN #1G1YY26E265100230. I thought we had some generous members who had some connections who could help us with things like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THNX

I believe it's a 3 year 36k mile warranty. The warranty begins at the date of purchase. They prorate the 36K so you are not penalized for the miles put on the car before it is purchased from the dealership. It's usually about 3-15 miles. If you originally purchased the car new, just look at the date on your bill of sale. If you purchased the car used, just call any dealership and they can tell you the exact date your warranty will expire.

There's a guy on here who can get that info.GM autotech I think is his name on here.Based on the last few #'s of that VIN though,I'd say the car is an early 06 build so the warranty is done.

Get ready to be taxed up the @$$. We just had a sales tax increase to 9.25% and on July 1st the sales tax in LA County is going up to 9.75%. I think they're talking about tripping the annual car tax too.

Do they go off blue book values or how do they determine the value? what if the car is all dented or what if it is highly modified?

Send a PM to GMAutotech he will pull up the VIS and tell you the in service date. It is a very early Z06, made in the summer of '05 and they didn't sit around on dealer lots for very long back then, so I would be surprised if it was still within the 3/36.
