Default Nav radio

I have a 05 with the 6 disk bose radio. Want to put the navigation radio in, more for the touch screen radio than the navigation. Do not care about nav. Anybody do this, is it easy and can you find them. Thanks

There are several after market Nav units that fit. Kenwood, Pioneer, and others make better units then the GM one. Check the audio section, there are many discussions on doing this.

I did the same thing on my 2005 about 1 year ago. You must have the bose system. I bought the nav. on ebay with the 5.0 version disc from a 2008 for about $600. I wanted to keep everything original. I had the dealership install it for $60.

Sure does... have a 05 with Bose and converted over to 08 OEM Nav unit plus added DIC controller (allows NAV destination input while on the move).... this site has excellent step by step how to>>

It does require a visit to the local Chev dealer due to having to use a Tech II to link new Nav to car BCM... no big deal and takes about 10 minutes.
