ZR1 Front Splitter Installed--WOW!! (LOTS of PICS!)
I posted a thread earlier about the unboxing of my front splitter. I went to dinner and then me and a buddy (Thanks Mike, RedTornado) installed it tonight. Let me say, the fitment is great but it did take a little longer to install than I anticipated. Anyway, here are some pics (some good, some bad) We used two separate cameras during the install:
The Install:
Almost got it:
Had to do some adjustment:

AFTER:
I am very happy with it and it looks awesome on there. Thanks again Josh for a great product.
www.rpidesigns.com is the place to get these things.
Next mod--maybe ZR1 side skirts or rear spoiler. I don't know.

Looks good. Nice job!
The paint match looks pretty good from the pics. How is it in person?
Does anyone know if this splitter will handle high speed (+150mph) driving without wanting to come off? How exactly is it held on there?

Looks good but it needs side skirts now to make it complete.

, but it might be more clear to say "approach angle". I am wondering what these would look like where I live, where our roads are in terrible shape and the driveways all steep enough to scrape the stock air dam. It does look great though -- really adds to the sleekness of the front end.......

I've got to be honest . . . it is definitely lower in the front than the stock bumper. However, it is still not lower than the black air dam. At my buddy's house, where we put it on, I was able to get it out of his driveway, but it was VERY close. I tried to back it in to get some pics that way and used him as a spotter. We weren't able to back it in for some reason. I could have maybe made by trying it a few ways or angling my car, but I didn't want to take the chance. It sticks out a little farther than the stock bumper, but you just have to stop early to keep from hitting curbs.

That looks really great! It adds some much more to the appearance of the front. Now that it's on, in time, you'll find it hard to consider going back to stock. Great choice

Yes, again how is it held on there? Is it only the tape holding it? Are you going to loose it if you hit a squrrel or a rabbit? I'm very careful about parking close to parking barriers, but I know I would damage that (and then be pissed). BTW too many pictures makes it hard to read the post on my antique DSL connection .
