Default Body in white?

is there a body in white available for the Corvette?

Body in White or BIW = factory shell for racing purposes.

And up until the 2010 model year was only available on coupe and vert
(except for special edition like Ron Fellows Z06). For 2010 its available in all models: coupe, vert, Z06, ZR1

I don't think that's what the OP was asking. I don't think he's asking about car color availability. The reason I think this is that he's using a term that has been around a long time. Body in white, in racing terms, is a stripped body, normally with no running gear, that the manufacturer makes available to racers. I think Ford does that with a Mustang even today. In the 60's Nascar teams got bodies in white from the manufacturers.

Correct , I'm looking to build a race car & it's easy & cost less to start with a "body in white" than a wrecked one. GM has a BIW for the camaro but I'd rather do a Corvette.

And they're not even white!

Competes with the 2010 Mustang BIW:

No VIN numbers, so not street legal. But definitely the way to go if you're building a dedicated track car.

To the OP, I have not heard of any plans for a C6 BIW.

Nope no body in white for Corvette , yet....

I inquired to the man himself, head of GM performance, he said if enough interest , maybe....

So I found a stripped car instead for $500 bucks :-)

Got to search everyday, they are out there.....
