Default Compact 2 post lift

I've been thinking about getting a lift for my garage but I have a height restriction of only 8'. Does anyone have any experience with the MaxJax lift (http://www.maxjaxusa.com/index.html) as it will fit ceiling heights of less then 8'. Of course you will not be able to stand under the car but it will allow for doing a lot of jobs by moving under the car using a stool on wheels, etc. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have the same question about this product, looks like a neat lift for us folks that only have 8 ft ceilings.

I have been looking at and wanting this lift. I really like that you can have your garage back after you are done with it --- and store it away against the wall. Looks to be a nice product. I called them and they are very professional and helpful on the phone.

There is some excellent information over there. Appears to be some concerns about getting the bolts in the concrete to "grab" and some people had to cut out a section of their garage floor and repour it to ensure that they had a 4" thick section as required.....hmmmmmm.

the bolts need to be put in and taken out before and after useage which leads to the stripping pulling out etc... there is alot of pressure on those babys and i for one wouldnt get under it,,,,,

I'm guessing the garage door opener will have to be removed or relocated to get any real height from this lift - right?

Wedge anchors or "red heads" will work fine, but they can't be removed.

Default Different kind of lift

I have seen this lift offered in group buys for $1425 delivered, maybe a little pricey but interesting.

I'm also considering the max jax for my new garage. But the floor under the lift will be 8" thick.
