Laser Jammer On vette

Laser Jammer On vette
So decided to invest in a laser jammer Blinder 27, and a radar detector valentine one with the purchase of my new vette.
I picked up the vette about 2 months ago, and got the jammer detector all installed a couple weekends back. I gotta say, its great, and it payed for itself just last night.
Driving home and slightly speeding, probably around 75 on the highway, where its posted to be 60. Around 1130 at night so very light traffic. I was casually weaving in and out of traffic. I looked up ahead and over and saw a cop car parked broadside to the highway, just as i saw him the alerts went off.
Never heard a laser alert before on my valentine one, but i gotta say its a ruckus. Basically all lights and a crazy beeping at the same time. My jammer also immediately started beeping and telling me a laser was targeting my vehicle.
I quickly slowed down to speed limit and casually cruised by the cop who was shooting me. Man its great knowing i have this thing installed, and was wondering if anyone else has any experience with jammers. Also, anyone in CO with a laser gun to run some tests?

Our local Vette guru in Portland just got, or is waiting to arrive, a LIDAR gun and is organizing the locals with jammers to test them. In case you might be interested in following the discussion in Pac Northwest here is the link:

I have a 4 head laser jammer (Laser Interceptor) on my Z06 and while expensive they do work. I would never advise FULLY jamming a police lidar gun though, that just pisses them off and could get you in even more trouble. In the few times I have been targeted I jam, slow down, and have an instant kill switch on the sytem once I have reached the posted speed limit, then let them get a reading.

LIDAR jamming is not illegal as it is regulated by the FDA, which has no provisions against it, unlike FCC which governs radio wave transmissions and prohibits devices that cause harmful interference...ie radar jammers.

V1 saved me yesterday, was messing around with another c6 in tampa, and I caught the Alert before the corner, so I jammed on the brakes the other guy was about 1/8 mile ahead of me at this time, and then I saw him slam on his brakes. I know for sure he did not have a V1 but he def had a radar detector. Point of the story, V1 saved me and I casually coasted by. The other guy got his warning in time also, but way after me.

also, as said many places consider jammers (radar, not laser) to be illegal, so make sure yours isn't one of them, whomever you are.

Yes, i agree. The new blinder m27 that i have actually is programmable to turn off after jamming for a certain amount of time. Default is it jams for 7 seconds, and then turns off. This is plenty of time to slow down, and then the cop can get a reading of you safely and legally driving the posted limit.
You have to figure at this point that most LEOs are going to be tempted to simply pull over any car that they lase with a 100% clear line of sight that return an error that miraculously clears after a few seconds.
The whole thing seems like more of a liability then a help. You can pretty much kiss ANY chance of an officer using his/her discretion and letting you off with a warning if he/she suspects you're using an active radar or laser jammer.

I have been interested in getting one, but have not figured out exactly where to mount them (the grill seems like the only place). I am uncertain how they would look or how obvious they would be.

I'm about to buy one right now. Been looking for a while. Got nailed last year by a lidar gun but the LEO lied about my speed and refused to tell me what speed measuring device he used and wouldn't let me see it. My V1 was in the trunk at the time because the suction cups had failed. Now its mounted on the mirror. I'm looking at the M27 jammer and see some have a Cheetah remote device and yet another site has a device to pull the laser heads up and out of site remotely controlled. Anyone have any opinions on these?

Blinder is good stuff. Although the laser interceptor will typically outperform it. On a Corvette it probably won't make much difference from the front unless you are running a front plate. Look up a laser interceptor, I can say first hand the customer service is amazing!

If anyone is looking for the Blinder we are a dealer for them. I just haven't had the time to upgrade my site to the new M27/M47 stuff.
I had links of the older M25 installed on a C6. I'll have to dig through my old threads to find them though.

Cool. I didn't know we had any supporting vendors here for this device therefore if I order one, it will be through you. Any thoughts on my post above regarding the interfaces and mounts?
