The little silver square that say's "GM" right behind the doors.
One trick I picked up here is to put a business card or similar thick card stock under one edge to protect the paint while prying up on the opposite edge (don't use any tools!). The end result for me was lots of residue left that didn't respond much to GooGone. Lots of rubbing with fingertips to get it off.

I did what most others have said. Heat with hair dryer, use fishing line, surround chicklet with painters tape to protect paint, pry off with fingers. Then get the adhesive off with WD-40 and lots of elbow grease.

If it's a dark colored car make sure you protect the area around the chicklet with painter's tape other wise the fishing line will scratch the paint. Also, when sawing through the double sided tape with the line, try to keep it as far away from the body as possible, right behind the chicklet. You'll be left with more residue and foam tape to remove, but less scratches to buff out.

ok, I'll probably scare half of you to death but I used a paint can opener. They have a curved end, hook it on the back of the chicklet and apply a little pulling force. Then take a straight edge razor blade and give it a little downward wiggle on the adhesive foam backing and it will be off in a split second. Neither tool touches the paint finish . If your nervous, have a gin & tonic before you grab the razor blade. Now you can spend a 1/2 hour per side cleaning off the remaining adhesive w/goo-b-gone.

Screw the Goo B Gone. Use this...
...and the adhesive will be gone in a few seconds - yes, you read that right - and it will not damage the paint. I've used this "trick" for years on every vehicle I have ever owned.
