Default Is Victory Red and Torch red a little or alot different color on the C6 ?

Do you guys think victory red and torch red look alot or a little different on the C6 vette now that we have 2010 torch red to compare to 2005-2009 victory red.I have not seen the two colors on a C6 together and have not seen a C6 torch red in person. How does torch red look on a C6 vette compared to victory red? I remember reading that torch red was not used on the 2005 C6 because the color did not show the C6 lines well so why the change of heart by GM on going with torch red over victory red. Also I cant tell any difference from pictures of the two colors from forum members, just curious about the differences in person.

You can't see the difference because most digital cameras on the forum tend to add lots of orange to the VR. In person, the TR is considerably more orange than the VR.....both are very nice. The only way to compare them is in person though...even when one of the forum dealers posted a pic of the two side by side, the diff was not as obvious as in person. I have a friend with a TR '03 Z06 so I get to compare it often.

Torch red looks more orange then victory red. Victory red is more like a bright red.

I agree but I really think you need to have them side-by-side to see the difference. Comparing pictures just doesn't seem to get the job done.

At one point I was trying to determine the difference between my '00 Magnetic Red and a new '06 Monterey Red. The up-close paint samples provided by dealers on the Forum looked different but it was hard to see that same difference when shown cars side-by-side in pictures. In the end, after I got my '06 Monterey Red and put it beside my '00 Magnetic Red in the garage, I got a lot better feeling than I could from any other comparison.

Torch Red has been a Corvette trade mark color for many years and I am glad to see it come back. VR was a nice color but TR is the Vette color...IMO

JERGENSENLS3's picture is exactly why I waited on ordering a C6 until Torch Red (70U paint code) was available. My C5 was torch Red , and I loved it.

The way I see the difference in the two colors is that Torch Red looks like Victory Red plugged into an electrical curcuit. To me it looks like it lights up. My opinion is that the Torch Red looks alot closer in color to the Viper Reds and some of the Porsche and Ferrari Reds. Of course this is only my opinion. I love all reds.
I also had a C5 Torch Red Vette and couldnt wait until it was availabe again.

Had a victory red 08Z I just sold, & a few days ago got a torch red GS. Both are nice, but I prefer the bright "pop" of the torch red.

There is a big differance between the 2. Torch red is alot more orange, like the old Monza red, or the bright red. The Victory red was only made for a few years and it is red-red. I have A VR and like it very much. I am glad they came back with the torch red though it is a real Corvette red.
