It seems that Edmunds does not think too highly of the ZR1. They say that you're better off buying a Z06 and saving your money at one point. I disagree....

R8 would be a bit more but I think I'd have to go with it for the price of the ZR1. The ZR1 is one bad dog but for that amount of $$ the fit and finish would drive me nuts.

$120k for a Chevy is really the point. The powertrain and drivetrain is supercar and there are some expensive carbon fiber body pieces but the rest of the car is still the same as a $45k street price base model vette.
LIke dvilin said, over $100k the competition is tougher.
The finish, audio system, materials quality for interior, etc are quite adequate for a $40-60k vette but once you hit $100k the excuses for GM making it that way diminish in effectiveness.
....... Hmmm but on second read, they're not talking about amenities, they are talking performance. And the ZR1 is king here and they admit it.
So I too am befuddled as to why the top performer isn't the #1 if your criteria for the article is performance?
