Just curious if there has been any new developments about redoing the interior for 2011? If the rumors are true and if it's anything like the stuff we've seeing in the Cadillacs and Buicks, I may have to simply only rent the 2010 for a few months.

It will be more than a few months... 2011's probably won't be out for another 8 months, unless the normal schedule changes!

We will know about any changes for 2011 by the end of April, 2010.

Actually, I think they have to. As long as they're not big changes, the costs would be relatively low compared to the overall revenue/profits from the cars they sell. And with the C6 life being stretched out longer than planned, they need to be able to generate new sales from an old(ish) platform. There are only so many decal packages they can bring out to drive interest...

Come on guys. Just a few months ago this forum was riddled with rumors about there being no Vette in 2010. Now we have a new model, the ZO6 is still alive as is the ZR1.

Maybe not for 2011 in my opinion. I would probably expect something in 2012, but then again, GM does not typically do any significant upgrades near the end of a products life cycle. If the C7 comes out in 2013 or 2014, 2011 would probably be the best year to make changes and let the C6 ride out.
The interior could be done with minimal tooling I would think. Hopefully we see some good changes. The C6 is a great car, but GM needs to make some decent changes. Even if it's just a better interior or better tires and brakes.
On Tell Fritz, GM mentioned that they are testing and considering Dual Clutch technology for future vehicles. Don't be surprised to see it on the C7.
Let's let GM work on the bread and butter so they can get profitable and the can bring changes to market quicker.

Someone who is familiar with the system posted a few months ago, said the new interior would have been used for 2010 except the low production numbers for 2009 left them with contracts for parts they weren't using. So the new interior got postponed until 2011. No info on what it's actually like.

Chevy never changed the interior on the whole run of C5's(which drove me nuts),when they had money, you think they are going to change it in the C6.(would love to see it)!!!with the C7 coming out in a few years.
