The New Split- Window
Today, the weekly newspaper "OLD CARS" reported that GM has
decided to design the "split window" into the next corvette.
Knowing how the publicly owned corporation is desparate to
increase sales, i.e. the introduction of a mass produced 10' GS.
One can only wonder that government beauracrates will judge
the split-window the newest "item", and introduce this window
treatment on the C-6. I remember that the split window on the
1963, was not approved by most of the public because of a lack
of site line. GM heard the masses and discontinued the split-window.
What goes around comes around, it sounds like history will repeat
itself again!!

The split window looks cool but if GM moves forward with it, I can imagine all the fed-0-crats will have a cow and dub the vehicle as unsafe and give it poor reviews. The objective is to increase the drivers ability to "see" around him (or her). Reducing blind spots and such is all the rage today. Lets sit back and watch how this turns out.
Personally, I liked the rear split but it did have it's limitations.

I've seen folks with a stick on divider on a C6 rear window. Looks dumb. A '63 on the other hand is a great looking car. There is a reason that the split window didn't last and that was visibility. I can't see it coming back.

I just saw one of these stick on dividers on a C5 yesterday on the highway. Looked silly IMHO.
