Default Sic Bumper and Black RUFF 944s Installed

Well, the mod frenzy is still going here in Atlanta since there is no snow here. I've been waiting to get the wheels on before I posted so you guys can finally see the Black RUFF 944s on a C6.

Firstly, thanks Daniel at Sic Motorsports for the bumper! He was a pleasure to deal with and he always responded to my calls/questions even though I might have been a bit annoying since I was eager to get the bumper on . I had a shop here in ATL do the paint and install and it matches up perfectly. They did blend into the hood (I had rock chips they fixed for free).

Secondly, contrary to what others may think, the Ruff 944 19/20 wheelset do not stick out at all as you can clearly see. They do fill the wheel well up nicely, so the weird offset has to do with compensation of the 6" lip in the rear and the 4" lip in the front. I put some fresh Nitto Invos on them to complete the package. Believe it or not, the best deal was with my local Discount Tire. I know, I couldn't believe it either. Ok Pics. Sorry they are from my iPhone, it was a rare chance since the sun was out (it's been raining for 3 weeks).

Please lower the car, aside from that bumper looks great but the wheels, just not into the RUFF wheels.

Love the bumper. My car is the same color and I have black Cray rims so I love yours too. I will probably follow your lead with the bumper but please lower your car.

Very nice, looks good! IMO - If you're going to lower it, I wouldn't lower it too much with the built-in front splitter.

I have that same bumper, yet to be installed, and I will have that same concern.

Thanks for the input guys, thats why I love this forum...in all it's forms . If you look at the pic#3 you'll see that there is not much clearance from the ground as it is. This is in part due to the rear tires, which are 295/35/R20s. The sidewall is too high IMO and the shop is replacing them with 285/30/R20s. But, I wont lower it anyways because this is a daily driver and I can't take that chance . For those of you who dont like the RUFFs, I still have my Black C6 motorsports set I will be switching out from time to time.

Hey Leo, were you able to use your stock C6 fog lights with the Sic bumper?

Thanks, Randy

No excuses...

My Black Coupe was daily driven and as super low. You live in Atlanta the roads there are fine for a lowered car, just have to be a little more alert with a lowered car.

Yep, the guys told me that they had to drill a small hole before they installed the lower foglight screws to the lower part of the bumper. SO pre-drill those first. The lower tabs are small but Daniel is making those bigger to make it easier.

Default Will the ZO6 big brake kit fit with the Ruff 944's?

First off, beautifull vette. I'm planning on installing a set of Ruff 944's on my '08 Z51 next week. Quick question: Will the offset on those wheels allow for the ZO6 big brake kit to fit? Thanks for the help.

No need to lower it in my opinion. I think some people lower their cars too much and that looks just as bad as being too high. My car is lowered (only) about an inch and I scrape the front spoiler regularly. That front bumper is lower than your spoiler in the center so you will have to be careful at the height it is. I had that bumper on my car and removed it.

That front bumper and GS stripes are KILLER! I'm not a fan of the wheels but they're not horrible either. Nice job.

Oh, next time you take pics park AWAY from the green exit sign.
