That brings to mind a question if we could retrofit our pre-bluetooth cars with the 2010 option. What would it involve?... Is it just an add-on to the head unit or something in the onstar gear?

There is already a Bluetooth kit out to replace the OnStar. I have one on order and hope to begin testing on it in a week or so.

There is no retrofit path for the OEM bluetooth in a non-bluetooth equipped car. It requires new hardware, new software and a new wire harness as well as the addition of the steering wheel controls. There were no plans to make an upgrade available last time I heard anything.
