The C6 corvette is awesome!!!!!
I would like to introduce not necessarily just myself but my corvette experience.
As a young man in his 20's and 30's I had the opportunity to own many c2 corvettes and absolutely loved them. They were a childhood dream/fantasy that I was able to live out. Along came the family with two children and there simpy was not enough money and space to keep the corvettes because I did not want to become angy with my kids if they accidentally put a scratch on my body off frame perfect paint job etc. (Yes, I loved my kids more than my car!). I'm sure this overall story will strike a cord with many of you.
To show how stuck I was with them I owned the following c2's
65 convertible
67 coupe
64 coupe
67 coupe
65 convertible
64 coupe
66 coupe body off frame Boomington Gold, NCRS Top Flight, every factory option in Nassau Blue with White interior including headrests
The last two were at the same time, I drove the red 64 coupe with factory ac (365 hp)and trailered the Bloomington Gold Car
There was also a big block 73 that just did not get it for me in retrospect.
This brings us up to this past November. My kids have been gone for a number of years and I started to get the itch again.
Nostalgia immediately took me to start looking for a c2 and having seen a few Mecum auctions I knew that a Bloomington Gold car was way out of my price range as far as I could or would pay. I remember when the first c6 came out in 2005 when I saw one and went WOW? I immediately became jealous every time I saw one. Financially at that time there was no way, so it was just the beginning of the rekindling of a new love affair.
Once I started to look around and it got a little more serious I test drove a Z06 and it scared the hell out of me. I had never driven a 500 hp car before and that was just ridiculous. I was still interested and it peaked my interest even more so without boring you with any more details I bought a c6 that is perfect for me.
I bought a 2007 coupe in Monterrey Red with Titanium interior. It is a 3lt with chrome wheels and both tops. The car had 1,411 miles when purchased. It was as if it had just come off the assembly line.
I have added some accessories in the last 7 weeks. With that backgound I will share my opinion on these cars. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I loved the c2's they cannot hold a candle to these new cars. For an everyday driver they are stupendous in my humble opinion. They are rockets wrapped in a Cadillac drive!!!! More later with specifics. Thanks for reading I hope I did not bore you too much. Thanks, Alan
Here are some pics per requests.
Forgive these images, they were taken with my phone. I will get much better ones soon. The console is the special Cooksey red carbonfiber.
I've added some personal preferences already. Thanks for sharing your comments.

Congratulations, you certainly have a history with Vettes. The C6 is as you now know a bit of a Beauty and a Beast. Enjoy.

I had a '59 with a built 327 / 4 sp, and a '69 coupe with a 427 / 4sp. The '69 had about the same power as my 08 coupe, and my '69 was a cherry too, but it was a nothing compared to my 08. The Corvette has come a long way, and these C6's are the best Corvettes ever. Congratulations.

That is a great list of past vettes that you owned. Congrats on getting the C6, they are definitely fun cars to drive.
