Default What are some tell tale signs of z51 package

I'm in the market for an c6,some of the cars that I have looked at have drilled rotors and some don't .The z51 I think comes with them but are they also included in the heavy duty brake option (j55)

Default Best way...

Open the Glove box, look at the code sticker.. if it has a Z51, it is one.

Pretty sure you also get the drilled rotors with the F55 mag suspension.

Anyway, look for the RPO codes in the glovebox. And here's what they mean: http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...ad.php?t=88957

Just look at the list on the glovebox door...anything else is just speculation, modifications etc.

Yes, you get the drilled rotors with the F55 package so the best way to tell is the RPO code listed in the glovebox.

No, not for all model years of C6s. Only with the 2007 and newer models.

If it has drilled rotors and no selector switch behind the gearbox it is Z51 and not F55

F55 allows you to select your driving mode (thus the switch) and is generally regarded as a lower performing Corvette model. Your smart to stick with Z51

Hey I didn't say it... GM did when they released the GS.

Then stay away from the ZR1 too.

You're welcome.

Switch, schmitch.......Z51 and F55 are mutually exclusive.

Aftermarket maybe, not from the factory, at least for 2008 to present models! I am sure I can extend that to all base C6's.

If it rides like a buckboard it has the Z51 package, not the F55 option.
