Dont do it .

Mine looks like crap a year later , just going to paint it one of these days . The vinyl gets scratched up like crazy , and it wrinkles in the corners ...

Yes, just paint it. I got mine done for $200 and that was taking it off, painting it, and reinstalling it.

Order an extra 'halo' if you think you might want to go back to your stock color.

On a serious note. If you have it painted make sure they remove it from the car to paint it. They don't look good if they are painted while still on the car.

If you have both tops, the BEST choice is to leave it alone. If you have only the transparent top, paint it black, the right way.

i just had mine wrapped for $75 today but i can already tell you now that if i decide to keep it black, I will definitely have it painted, it just doesnt look as nice as i thought it would

Good choice.

I bought my extra halo off ebay, from a Corvette boneyard in Pa. It cost about $100 plus $35 shipping. I had it repainted for $100, and installed it myself.
