Default Toyota in NASCAR

With Toyota production stopped can they legally run in the NASCAR series.
I seem to recall something in the rules that says the car has to be a current production vehicle.

I don't know but they could use some of that "sudden unintended acceleration" . Go HMS

What is going on with Toyota right now will have zero impact to their NASCAR program. All models are still current model year and production, just placed on hold for a short perior of time.

Unfortunately the real culprit is an Indiana company CTS. Waiting for someone from Toyota to point out that they have learned their lesson using American suppliers
Anyway, if it was an issue, which it isn't, NA$CAR would just make a new rule.

Except for the fact that Toyota created and accepted the specifications for the part. Stop blaming American parts suppliers.

CTS couldn't have made it without an approved drawing from Toyota, not to mention approving the final production model. It's all in Toyota's lap.

I, along with one of the founders of Apple computer, think it is a software problem, not a mechanical problem.
We know it is not the floormats. The owner of one of the cars that crashed had put the floormats in the trunk.

i saw the interview yesterday with Steve Wozniak and his Prius and i agree with him it's a software issue. Toyota is covering this up and when all is said and done they will pay a heavy price.

Not sure how this is related to C6 Gen.

But my answer to your question would be no. These cars aren't out of production, they just are temporally not being sold.

I've owned enough Dodges, Plymouths, Chryslers, Fords, Chevrolets, Buicks, Toyotas, Hondas, Isuzus, Nissans and Mazdas to know good from bad. So your opinion is meaningless to me.

I hope they get it figured out soon. Lots of those running around including my wife's '07 Camry.

Just remember if you own a Toyota-made product and have sudden acceleration to "Slam and Shift"! Slam on the brakes and Shift into neutral!

Biggest mistake I ever made related to automobiles was trading my Tacoma PkUp for a PT Cruiser. PT Cruisers should be outlawed as the biggest piece of junk ever imposed on the buying public.
