Chevrolet Customer Assistance on the Forum
I can't recall ever seeing a post from Chevy, so maybe this is a first:

A gutsy move on a public forum. And if the customer gets real assistance, IMO it's a VERY smart move.

I'm hoping he'll share some details of who he is and what he is going to try to accomplish. Great to have some one like that here no matter what.

So far, the guy has made two posts and took both of them off-forum by switching to PMs. I'd like to see GM take part in this forum, but I'm not sure this is going to be it.

And then again, anyone can use any screen name that they want to. I could start an account called "Porsche PR Dept"...
I hope it is a real representative of GM, that would be great, but I'll believe it when I see a bit more proof. "Trust but Verify"

I was thinking the same as I was reading that post.

I am hoping this is a real response also. I spent three hours on the phone with GM last month trying to get someone to be a member and log on here to read about the problems we are having with our cars. Maybe they listened. We can only hope.

Many of the large message boards are actually monitored by the manufacturers. Unlikey they repsond on an open forum. From experience working for a major luxury manufacturer it was not uncommon for us to monitor the boards and reach out to those customers with genuine concerns. It may have been a call to the retailer to reach out to the customer without even the customers knowledge. Hopefully there is an update but I doubt it.
